Leadership
Peter Mackler, GMF founder, was a news veteran with extensive international experience. From the streets of New York to political conflicts and wars in Asia and Europe, he was an infatigable reporter. He lectured to numerous groups, including NATO and the United Nations. He was passionate about teaching journalism. |
Global Media Forum was the brainchild of Peter Mackler who found journalistic values and standards to be true life skills. Mentoring students at the Duke Ellington School for the Arts in Washington DC in 1999, he conceived of GMF as a vehicle for talented reporters to pass on their skills to the digital age generation.
