Baku Initiative Group hosted an event within the framework of the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum

Within the framework of the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum held under the theme “Unmasking of false narratives: Confronting disinformation” Baku Initiative Group hosted a presentation of the report “The Evolution of French Colonialism: A Political and Constitutional Study” authored by the well-known UN expert, US citizen Carl Corbin.

In his nearly 140-page study, the researcher tracks back and reports on former and current French colonies – Vietnam, Algeria, New Caledonia (Kanaky), French Polynesia (Maohi Nui), Saint Martin, Saint Barthelemy, Mayotte (considered the territory of the Union of Channel Islands), Reunion, Martinique, Guadeloupe and colonization of Guiana, as well as the current colonial policy of France.

It should be noted that the research will serve to increase the awareness of the international community on the actions of the French Government in the colonies that are against international law, and to draw attention to the problem of colonialism, which is one of the most critical challenges of the modern world.
