A side event took place as part of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, focusing on "Adapting to the Next Generation Audience and Media."
One of the side events organized within the framework of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum was dedicated to the topic "Adapting to the Next Generation Audience and Media."
The event analyzed the rapidly transforming information environment, the impact of modern technologies on information consumption, the growing role of social networks, the different content expectations of young audiences, and media approaches appropriate to these changes.
Mr. Alpar Kato, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the online news platform “Daily News Hungary” and the online magazine “Hello Magyar”, said that in the rapidly changing information flow, young people mainly prefer digital platforms. He noted that to reach this audience, media organizations should go beyond traditional approaches and make more extensive use of visual content, short-form videos and interactive presentation methods.
In his speech, Mr. Charlie Day, head of "The New Forum," highlighted that modern technologies have transformed both how information is disseminated and how it is consumed. He remarked that with the rise of social networks, delivering reliable, clear, and engaging content has become the media's primary challenge. Furthermore, for the emerging generation, the media serves not only as an information source but also as a platform for interaction and response.
The side event was of particular importance in assessing the media field's transformation and developing effective communication strategies with the next generation.
