Participants of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum toured historical and cultural landmarks of Shusha
Participants of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum explored the city’s historical and cultural landmarks. During the excursion, they visited the central square, where statues of prominent Azerbaijani figures - Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli are exhibited. Employees of the Shusha City State Reserve Department provided detailed explanations about the history of these statues, their significance in the city’s symbolic memory, and the broader cultural heritage of Shusha.
Following this, the guests visited the residence of Khurshidbanu Natavan, the Khan Gizi Spring, Bulbul's house-museum, and the Yukhari Govharaga Mosque. During the tour, the participants also ascended the Jıdır Plain to enjoy the breathtaking views and learned about the extensive ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts within the city.
It should be emphasized that these excursions were organized to highlight Shusha's rich historical and cultural legacy, as well as to showcase the city’s reconstruction initiatives.
