Ahmad Ismayilov: “The 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum plays the role of an important platform for the world media”
On July 22, the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Mr. Ahmad Ismayilov, held a briefing on the results of the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum, which was held on the topic “Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation".
At the briefing, Mr. Ahmad Ismayilov said that the meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with the event participants was a clear confirmation of the great attention paid to the Forum, and thanked the head of the state on behalf of the media community.
Reminding that the forum has already become a tradition and annually hosts many participants from all over the, the Executive Director also drew attention to the importance of this year's discussion topics given the rapid spread of disinformation in the modern information environment. Mr. Ismayilov also pointed on the relevance of other Forum topics such as the formation of a comprehensive understanding of disinformation in the modern world, as well as the causes of this problem. He praised a wide exchange of ideas and important messages shared on the analysis of large-scale negative results of disinformation.
Mr. Ahmad Ismayilov pointed out that the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum, attended by more than 150 foreign guests from 50 countries, including information agencies of 30 countries, 3 international organizations and 82 media institutions, serves as an important platform for world media and the Forum important messages were once again shared with a broader global community from Shusha.
