On July 20-22, Shusha to host the 2nd Global Media Forum on the topic "Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation"
The rapid spread of misinformation in the modern information space can be rated as one of the most critical threats to development and global stability. In addition to a broad range of technology driven opportunities, the increase in the volume and channels of information is introducing new approaches, tools and mechanisms related to both the formation of correct information systems and the determination of reliable information by consumers.
The Forum is built around four panel sessions: "Impact Assessment: Understanding the Reach of Disinformation", "Policy and Initiatives to Build More Resilient Society to Disinformation", "AI's Impact on Reality, Media and Disinformation: Promoting Media Literacy" and "Climate Action and Media" and will feature debates, deliberations and ideas exchange between officials from different countries, media and civil society, state and business representatives, as well as representatives of international organizations and media experts.
In addition, the Forum will offer a floor to briefings on the actions and preparatory work for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the fight against the effects of climate change at the country level, and the sustainable approach used under recovery and reconstruction on the liberated areas.
It should be noted that the 2nd Forum, which will bring together more than 150 foreign guests from nearly 50 countries, including information agencies of about 30 countries, 3 international organizations and 82 media institutions, will serve as a forum for discussions and action platform for the participants.
