The city of Lachin hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic “AZERTAC 105: Past, Present and Future of Cooperation”

A roundtable discussion on the topic “AZERTAJ 105: Past, Present and Future of Cooperation” was held in Lachin as part of the Shusha Global Forum.

At the opening of the event, AZERTAJ Board Chairman Vugar Aliyev highlighted the agency’s longstanding history, noting that AZERTAJ has been operating for over a century. “Founded in 1920, AZERTAJ was established by the first democratic state of the East at that time. Although the agency functioned as an independent news source for only two months during that period, it continued to serve as a vital information outlet throughout the Soviet era, evolving into a valuable repository of hundreds of thousands of photographs and reports about our country. When we consider the agency’s century-long history, we recognize the immense significance of this heritage,” the Chairman stated.

Representatives from various countries participating in the roundtable expressed high praise for AZERTAJ’s pivotal role in shaping the national information space and its contributions to fostering international cooperation. They emphasized that the agency is a prominent and influential information partner both regionally and globally.

At the end, the guests received gifts and took a family photo.

The round table brought together of more than 40 media representatives from different countries.
