Shusha Global Media Forum completed its work

The Shusha Global Media Forum held on July 21-23 on the theme "New Media in the 4th Industrial Revolution" concluded its work.

150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including state information agencies of 34 countries of the world, 12 international organizations and media institutions joined the Forum held within the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" and in connection with the 148th anniversary of the National Press of Azerbaijan. The Forum also welcomed 60 local media leaders and representatives participated.

Within the framework of the forum, the world's well-known and influential media leaders and experts discussed media, information and communication related issues at the global level, including new tools in journalism and communication in the digital age, digital transformation, media management in the modern information environment and the creation of sustainable media business models, new they discussed media consumption trends and media literacy, methods of combating disinformation and fake news, safety of journalists and other issues.

Ideas on many new concepts related to the media and the challenges it contains for the modern media brought by "Industry 4.0", the new development stage of the era were shared and exchanged by the event participants.

At the same time, presentations of different international projects, exhibitions, cultural events, trainings for photographers and television journalists were organized for the participants of the three-days long Forum. In addition, several cooperation agreements were signed during the Forum.

The Non-Aligned Movement Media Platform initiative was also launched within the framework of the forum.

It should be noted that for the first time in the history of independent Azerbaijan, the city of Shusha, home to many international events, brought together the heads of the world's leading media and journalistic organizations, influential experts in the field of media and information and communication, and well-known journalists under the roof of a global forum.
