Shusha Global Media Forum hosted a panel on securityand safety issues of journalists

The third session of Shusha Global Media Forum was dedicated to the safety of journalists. The panel discussion moderated by TRT World host Reagan Des Vignes hosted vice president of the Korean Political Science Association, deputy director of the HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency, professor of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Gi Woong Jung, deputy of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Nigar Arpadarai, AGEPRESS - Romania General Director of National Information Agency Claudia-Victoria Nicolae and special correspondent of AZERTAC Information Agency Vugar Seyidov.

The panel discussion shared views on ensuring the safety of media representatives in order for journalists to fulfill their professional obligations and serve the society. For this purpose, the speakers emphasized the importance of researching and preparing various advanced and successful strategies for protecting the safety of journalists, providing them with the necessary equipment, the basic conditions of a healthy information environment, the mechanisms for informing the public in crisis situations, as well as in the event of unexpected or difficult to predict force majeure events.
