The second one-on-one discussion of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum was dedicated to the topic "Social Media and Ethical Frameworks in the Age of Artificial Intelligence".
In a discussion moderated by Mr. Alisultan Sultanzadeh, a digital content creator at the international television channel “AnewZ”, Mr. Seamus Clancy, Head of Public Sector and Non-Profit Sales at LinkedIn, noted that while the rapid and intensive development of artificial intelligence technologies has expanded the opportunities for social media users to create and share content, the extent to which such platforms are prepared for the new challenges posed by artificial intelligence remains one of the pressing issues. He noted that the application of artificial intelligence in various directions in social networks, which cover a wide audience and act as the main communication and information exchange platform for people, has brought to the fore new approaches to improving ethical frameworks.
During the discussion, views were exchanged on the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the social media ecosystem, the development of ethical frameworks, data protection, and the principles of responsible behavior in the digital environment.
